Christa Brannock
My name is Christa Brannock. I am from Mount Airy, North Carolina. I recently graduated with my Associates Degree in Graphic Arts from Stevens Henager College. Few years ago, I would have never imagined myself graduating with an Associates degree in such surprising way. I've always had trouble with understanding material being taught, but these last couple of years I put those troubles behind me and I took a leap of faith and this is where it has brought me. When I was in high school I was told I could never go to a college and get a degree, and if I got into college I could never pass. Well, if they could only see me now, they would know I did better than that, I have passed all my courses and even made the Dean's List and maintained a GPA 3.0 or higher. Because from the very beginning of this degree, I made a promise to myself that I would give it my all and do the best I can; even with the challenges I faced. That is the first thing I did was have faith in what I do and do it the best I can and ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask questions for the questions you don't have answers to. In addition, I will be continuing on with my Bachelors degree starting May 7th, 2012 and will be completing sometime in the fall of 2013. I will also will receive my soft skills certification, which teaches professionalism and communication on a career.
As a graphic designer, I specialize in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver. I'm not really strong with Flash and Dreamweaver, but I'm eager to learn more and possibly teach myself how to be better in those programs. In my design portfolio, you can find some of my latest designs, that include: menu layout, poster designs, tri-fold brochure, magazine layout and newspaper layout.
